Members' Area

Environment and Planning Law Association (NSW) Inc

EPLA is an organisation whose members are drawn from many environmental disciplines, including from the fields of planning, environment, architecture, local government and the legal profession. Our members are from city and country regions, in government and private enterprise.

During this time of significant change to environmental and planning laws in NSW, EPLA helps members to stay up to date through on-line releases of latest news, publications Environmental Law News and Environmental Law Reporter, and the distribution of IMPACT!

EPLA also aims to promote the understanding of environmental and planning law through regular Twilight Seminars and the annual EPLA Conference. The EPLA Conference not only enables practitioners to meet their mandatory CLE and CPD requirements but also affords an opportunity to meet with fellow members in an informal atmosphere.

Members are actively represented in all areas of environmental and planning law by the organisation through the making of submissions on new environmental and planning laws, representation on the Land and Environment Court's "Court User Group", by liaising with relevant government bodies and other organisations involved in environmental and planning law.
